At bauma 2025, Schäffer is set to unveil its new telescopic wheel loaders 8620 T-3 and 9640 T-3, designed specifically to meet the needs of recycling facilities, logistics centres and goods stores as well as municipal customers. Thanks to an extended range of innovative functions and a new comfort cab PLUS, these machines set new standards in efficiency, safety and operating comfort.
Increased efficiency and safety
The cab of the telescopic wheel loaders has been completely overhauled. Besides being more spacious, the new comfort cab PLUS is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen that makes operation of the machine more intuitive and user-friendly. Various machine functions can be conveniently set and monitored using this screen. An additional soft-touch control panel enables quick access to key functions, such as controlling the headlights. Further, an illuminated cab access point, a larger door opening and additional handles ensure comfortable and safe access. The new telescopic wheel loaders are equipped with dynamic load moment control for continuously monitoring loading processes, thereby significantly enhancing safety.
Wide range of versatile applications
The telescopic wheel loaders are equipped with various user profiles for the working hydraulics and thus maximise efficiency for different types of loading activities. The “fast mode” is suitable for the fast loading of bulk materials, while the “slow mode” is ideal for precise tasks, such as moving pallets. The functions can be selected intuitively using the touchscreen. The new optional assistance systems include oil volume regulation for the auxiliary hydraulics and comfort operation for the telescopic arm with automatic shake function, tool positioning and tool emptying. The image provided by the optional reversing and front camera is also shown on the large screen.
High-intensity lighting system and optimised all-round visibility
The lighting system of the telescopic wheel loaders has also been improved: Energy-saving LED lights ensure optimal illumination of working environments and travel areas. Split mirrors and larger windows in the roof enable better close-up visibility and boost safety. The rear sloping bonnet contributes to an even better all-round view.
Impressive performance capabilities, powerful hydraulics
The 102 or 129 hp 8620 T-3 can lift loads of up to 4.2 t to a height of 5.20 m. The 2.77 m tall machine has – depending on its actual equipment – an operating weight of between 7 and 8 t. The 9640 T-3 has an operating weight of between 8.4 and 9.7 t and a 143 hp engine. The wheel loader measures 2.83 m in height and has a capacity to lift loads of up to 4.2 t to a lifting height of 5.40 m. The 9640 T-3 is equipped as standard with load-sensing working hydraulics with a delivery volume of 172 l/min. This feature is also optionally available for the 8620 T-3.
Customer-centric development
