More comfort, more visibility: The new generation of the Schäffer wheel loader 2445

With the new 2445-2, Schäffer is taking its compact wheel loader for horticulture and landscaping to the next level. Offering the same high-performance capabilities, the machine impresses in particular thanks to a new cab with significantly improved working comfort, ergonomics and visibility.

With an increase in volume of around 30 per cent, the cab is much more spacious. This offers noticeably improved working comfort with sufficient freedom of movement to allow the use of a helmet, even for long periods. A large doorway and additional legroom, thanks to a slender steering column, make getting in and out more convenient. Suspended pedals improve ergonomics and make it easier to clean the footwell. In addition, the enhanced cab suspension with increased spring travel effectively reduces vibrations, while optimised insulation lowers the noise level substantially.

When it comes to equipment, the cab also features practical enhancements. The new soft-touch control panel with large, clearly laid-out buttons enables quick and intuitive control of functions, such as lighting or windscreen wipers. A 3-pin socket for attachment control terminals and USB ports for charging mobile devices are provided as standard. An enlarged windscreen wiper area also helps improve visibility in bad weather.

The further improved all-around visibility is an important advantage during everyday work. A bigger glass area, larger exterior mirrors and the redesigned, flatter bonnet offer a much better view – especially to the rear. This was made possible by measures that include the integration of electronic components, such as fuses and control units, in the cab, where they are protected yet easily accessible from the outside thanks to an inspection hatch. Finally, the new ventilation system, which combines inside and outside air, ensures more efficient heating and cooling performance. An optional air-conditioning system can be specified for further enhanced comfort.

Despite these comprehensive upgrades, the 2445-2 remains focused on its strengths: compact dimensions, high manoeuvrability and impressive performance. The low empty weight of just 2.6 tonnes for the cab version allows it to be transported on the back of a car trailer and guarantees maximum flexibility in everyday use on construction sites. At the same time, the wheel loader offers sufficient stability to move even heavy loads safely. With a lifting capacity of 1.9 tons, entire pallets of paving stones can be moved effortlessly.

The machine is powered by a proven Kubota diesel engine delivering 37 kW (50 hp). Combined with the high hydraulic performance of up to 81 l/min thanks to Schäffer Multi High Flow, there is sufficient power to enable the use of demanding attachments. This makes the 2445-2 the ideal choice for the varied tasks in horticulture and landscaping.

The new Schäffer wheel loader celebrates its première at the GaLaBau trade fair. Schäffer will be represented there in Hall 7, Stand 130.

Tried-and-tested technology with a new driver’s cab and a fresh design: the Schäffer 2445-2 is the compact all-rounder for landscaping and construction.
