In the current special reprint of the trade magazine profi (issue 10/2025), the new Schäffer 9640 T-3 takes center stage.
The third generation of the popular telescopic wheel loader impressively demonstrates how operator comfort, safety and efficiency can be perfectly combined.
A particular highlight is the new cab: it offers more space, a 10 cm wider platform and improved visibility thanks to a newly designed frame concept. Instead of a right-hand door, a side console with a 10-inch display and redesigned electronic joystick provides optimal ergonomics and intuitive control.
The modern assistance package supports the operator in many everyday situations – from Return-to-dig and the Position Assistant to the Tool Assistant with automatic shake function. These make repetitive loading cycles even easier and safer.
Safety has also been taken to a new level: an integrated overload cut-off system in accordance with DIN EN 747-3 automatically retracts the telescopic arm as soon as the stability limit is reached, ensuring the machine always remains in balance.
With a lift height of 5.40 m, a tipping load of up to 5,940 kg and 143 hp engine output, the new 9640 T-3 impresses not only technically, but also with numerous detail improvements – from the new suspended pedal arrangement to the repositioned handbrake.
