More comfort, more visibility: Schäffer presents the new compact loader 3650-2

New cab offers more space, improved visibility and optimised ergonomics

Schäffer set to reveal its new compact loader 3650-2, the successor to the successful 3650, at Agritechnica 2025. One of the best things about this novel trade fair highlight is the completely newly developed comfort cab, which makes everyday work noticeably more pleasant and safer. What remains is the proven technology: A powerful Kubota diesel engine delivering up to 50 hp, exceptional hydraulic performance and efficiency systems that ensure low operating costs.

The cab offers 30% more volume and provides a very pleasant sense of space. An optional air conditioning system further enhances comfort. The increased spring travel of the cab suspension significantly reduces vibrations, while enhanced insulation noticeably lowers noise levels. Suspended pedals improve ergonomics and additionally facilitate cleaning of the foot area. A much wider doorway and increased legroom – made possible by the more slender steering column – make getting in and out more comfortable.

The loader equipment has also been comprehensively optimised: A 3-pin socket for attachment control terminals and USB ports for charging mobile phones are now standard features. The new soft-touch control panel with large buttons now enables the quick control of lights and windscreen wipers, for example. Moreover, the enlarged windscreen wiper area also ensures improved visibility in bad weather. With 10% more glass, a more compact bonnet and larger exterior mirrors, the new cab offers a much better view.

Efficiency, safety and detailed technology

The new ventilation system mixes inside air with outside air instead of exchanging it completely – this increases both heating and cooling performance and helps save energy. Electronic components, such as fuses and control units, are now protected inside the cab and easily accessible from the outside thanks to an inspection hatch.

In addition, the new machine generation relies on the proven Schäffer efficiency systems, which ensure maximum performance with minimum operating costs. High Traction Force (HTF) automatically adjusts the traction force and guarantees maximum thrust without the driver having to intervene manually. Schäffer Power Transmission (SPT) controls the traction drive electronically for optimal fuel efficiency and dynamic driving behaviour. Multi High Flow (MHF) delivers increased hydraulic performance for the use of demanding attachments, thereby making the machine particularly versatile.

The technical data accentuates the performance of the new model: The operating weight of the cab version is around 2,850 kg. The standard lifting height is 2.95 m and can be optionally increased to 3.20 m. The tipping load of the straight machine is 1,980 kg with one bucket. The machine width varies between 1.20 and 1.57 m, depending on the tyres, and the machine height is approximately 2.27 m. The hydraulic performance is 46 l/min and can optionally be increased to up to 81 l/min with Multi High Flow. The model is also offered as an overhead guard version and will be available from the third quarter of 2026.

The 2nd generation 3650 with a new cab and additional safety features makes daily work eas-ier.
